In true High Country Shearers Quarters style there is a large open plan kitchen and dining area with a superb log burner, a separate TV nook makes for the ideal kids area too. Full bathroom facilities included, 3 showers and toilets available as well as ensuite facilities with the master bedroom.
The Master Bedroom has a queen bed and two bunks with an ensuite. (Sleeping 4 in total). The Two Bunk Rooms each have six bunks. Linen is optional at an extra cost of $25 per person.
Also available is a fully self-contained Snowdon Studio Unit adjacent to the Shearers Quarters. This accommodation is ideal for couples, with a Queen Bed, ensuite and cooking facilities. The Studio Unit can be used on its own or in conjunction with the Shearers Quarters. The accommodation is for the exclusive use of the booking group.
The Snowdon Shearers Quarters and Studio Unit are great in conjunction with the Snowdon Lodge for large groups, sleeping up to approx 40 people in total, only a 5 minute walk away from each other.
A hot tub is available (additional charge) and a perfect way to unwind whilst taking in the stunning mountain views.
There is something for everybody at Snowdon Station. It has a long history, much of which has been preserved by the family. There is an informal museum, which reflects the activities and interest of the people who have lived and worked here. Well worth a look.
Animal lovers can visit the farms' pets, you can even feed the 2 pet pigs.
Several local walking tracks within half an hours drive including the Washpen Falls Walkway, the Rakaia Gorge Walkway, the Dry Acheron and Peak Hill Walkways. There are also numerous walking and biking options available on the farm for all ages and abilities. Within half an hour of the Mt Hutt mountain bike park and an hour from Mt Somers and Arthurs Pass National Park.
